Hi there! Welcome to my blog on caring for sick loved ones. It will not be an easy blog to keep mainly because I will have to dig on my treasure trove of personal experiences. My mother was a cancer patient. She, along with my father, stayed with us during the course of her illness until she passed away July 15, 2008.
When Mama got seriously sick, I felt so helpless. I was not prepared for the dynamics of caring for someone so dear to you. Nor was I prepared for the deluge of emotions and the corresponding actions, decisions and attitudes, these produced. What Mama taught me about loving and caring, especially during the difficult moments of her battle with cancer, was something I would treasure forever.
And so, this blog is in her honor.. Let me also honor the brave and courageous family caregivers among us. I pray and hope we can learn from and enrich each other. God bless us all!
